At Bright Futures School

BFS Opportunities- Now closed.

From September, we aim to increase in size from 12 pupils to 15. We will therefore need at least two new full time Learning Mentors, (31.5 hours per week- annual salary £17,191.)  In addition, we are currently looking for a part-time Learning Mentor (up to 18 hours per week).

You will need to be creative and flexible in your approach towards working with children with autism. We will need dedicated staff  who can join our hard working, friendly and supportive team and engage pupils in meaningful and innovative activities, as well as planning and delivering basic literacy and numeracy skills. A Learning Mentor role involves 1-1 working and very small group work with our children, who are aged between 5 and 16. Previous experience of working in a school is desirable, as is a creative approach to children’s learning that will support the school vision as outlined on the school website.

The ability to engage pupils in meaningful and innovative activities and build up trusting relationships is essential. Full training in,  and support for,  our Developmental approach to working with children with autism will be given.

If you require further information, please email our school admin support, Christina Stocks – office@brightfuturesschool.co.uk.

If you would like to be considered for any of these positions, please email your CV, together with an explanation about why you are interested in working at Bright Futures School, outlining what skills and experience you can bring to our very special and unique school. Thank you for your interest.
